Microsoft and Apple have the two best ‘hand recognition’ touchscreens around at the moment and therefore there is a useful setting that the surface pro has to disable palm or finger detection when the stylus is being used (the surface pro knows the difference between a stylus and your finger).  This stops your hand resting on the screen and messing around with the inking.

 

  1. Press the windows key and then type “pen”.  Click on the ‘pen and windows ink settings’ that it suggests for you:

 

  1. Make sure the red circled box is ticked (“ignore touch input when I’m using my pen”) then you’re done!
