The beauty of ‘extend’ mode when you’re connected to more than one display is that you can show different things on each screen.  But if you’re working at one screen and can’t easily see the second screen (if it’s a smartboard for example) then it can be hard to work at the application you might want if it’s only showing on the alternative screen.  Quickly move apps from one display to the other by clicking on the open app in the taskbar and then pressing WINDOWS then SHIFT and then either LEFT or RIGHT arrow key.
